Details

Germanium (Ge) Meniscus lenses are crescent lenses made of germanium as the base material.
The crescent lens has an outwardly convex mirror surface and an inwardly concave mirror surface. If the outward curvature is greater than the inward curvature, the lens has a positive focal length. When used in combination with another lens, a positive meniscus lens can shorten the focal length, thereby increasing the numerical aperture (NA) of the system without introducing significant spherical aberration; If the concave curvature is large and the convex curvature is small, it is a negative meniscus lens. Germanium is a commonly used optical glass material in the infrared band, with a transmission range of 2.0-16 μ m and high refractive index and high Nusselt hardness. Germanium is inert to air, water, acid, alkali, etc., and can be used for thermal imaging and infrared imaging in harsh environments. It can serve as a substrate for various optical components, such as lenses, window panels, etc.
Guangtan Intelligent provides curved moon lenses without coating or coated with IR2 (8-12 μ m) anti reflective film. Germanium (Ge) substrates are suitable for infrared applications. Guangtan Intelligent has complete manufacturing and testing equipment, which can provide you with high-quality optical components and customize crescent lenses that meet your usage requirements. If you have more questions or needs, please feel free to contact us, and we will be dedicated to serving you.
Note:Germanium material contains harmful substances. Please wear gloves when using and wash hands after use.
