CaF2 crystals exhibit excellent transmittance, high damage threshold, and high uniformity in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared bands. Therefore, it is commonly used in high-power CO2 lasers, infrared imaging systems, infrared medicine, ultraviolet optics, high-energy detectors and other fields, especially with excellent optical performance in the ultraviolet band.
