Details

A depolarizing beam splitter is different from an energy splitting type. The depolarization splitting prism divides the incident light into transmitted and reflected beams according to the calibrated splitting ratio without changing the polarization state of the incident light, and achieves depolarization effect through a slanted dielectric splitting film.
This type of component has a wide range of applications in fields such as interferometers, medical instruments, and theodolites.
It should be noted that the depolarization beam splitter uses a metal induced splitting film, so it has a certain absorption of incident light (usually<10%). This should be noted when the laser power is high.
